General Information
In the heart of this well preserved medieval town, which is Gubbio, you find an exclusive four star hotel, the Relais Ducale, part of the Duke of Montefeltro’s former palace. We have no words to describe the beauty of this property and the kindness of the people that will look after our precious guests. The style of the hotel characterized by unique vintage furniture and precious old paintings, the romantic gardens, the warm and welcoming atmosphere transmit a real “home away from home” feeling. The hotel is at walking distance from the main tourist attractions and from the two restaurants, Bosone Garden and La Taverna del Lupo, owned by the Mencarelli family where our guests will enjoy the exquisite Umbrian recipes and, finally, the wild about mushrooms we have been talking about!!!
Part of the Duke of Montefeltro's former Palace, the Relais Ducale is situated in the historic center of Gubbio. Completely restored in 1997, the hotel is a charming unique “home” offering an intimate and luxury environment thanks to its position and its architectural structure. All rooms and public spaces are decorated with fine antique furnishing and paintings. All rooms and suites have been cared with particular attention to details, from the choice of antique furniture to a rich collection of paintings and prints. All rooms are elegantly furnished, refined and equipped with the most modern comforts and services: Jacuzzi is also available in some rooms. Verandas, beautiful gardens rich in flowers and colors, cosy rooms for reading and relaxing create an ideal atmosphere to enjoy a quiet luxury. Breakfast is served at the Bar Ducale or, during summertime, outside in Piazza della Signora, from where guests can enjoy wonderful views. The restaurant La Taverna del Lupo is located at a walking distance from the hotel and is considered one of the best restaurants in Umbria.
